June 2007
Aloha. June has finally gone and it is summer in Maui. Cynthia made a quick trip to Southern California to attend her High School Reunion. She had been trying to locate old friends for some months and list of people that she couldn't wait to see again after so many years. As much as she wanted to visit with all our friends in the San Diego area there just wasn't enough time. There is always the next trip.
- Our friend Betty from Lake San Marcos arrives in Maui.
- Betty’s family arrived on a different flight from Florida
- Betty’s sister Mary is happy to be here too.
- Our cat Bubba is enjoying a nap.
- Rosie likes the nap idea too.
- Jill decides to join the nap crew.
- Now they are all in nap mode.
- Cynthia went to Southern California for her High School Reunion. She met up with a few friends before the party, here is Pam and Dan.
- Cynthia was thrilled to get together with her High School best friend.
- While in San Diego a trip to the County Fair was a must. She went with (L to R) Bonnie, Teri and Elena.
- They really enjoyed a concert by John Michael Montgomery.
- Cynthia and Pam cruised through town digging up memories. They are at Pasadena High School (PHS).
- Pam and Cynthia in front of PHS.
- The Space Shuttle returned to earth with a huge bang and leaving a trail.
- Colorado Boulevard is where the Rose Parade goes down.
- The reunion was held at the Hilton in Pasadena.
- Getting ready for the big party.
- They cruised through Sierra Madre where Cynthia grew up.
- The main road through town has no stop lights. That’s pretty cool.
- This is the house that Cynthia grew up in from 2nd grade through High School.
- Pam is ready for the party.
- They both are.
- This is Vicky and Linda.
- The school colors were red and white.

- On the way back to San Diego, Cynthia made a few stops. Here she is visiting with Pam and Max.
- Then down to San Clemente to visit with friends Lynn, Bob and Cookie.
- Cookie is from one of Cynthia’s litters.
- A visit with Susan was great.
- Breakfast with Sharon.
- Finally back at home Christine comes to visit. She is adopting Jill.
- Another beautiful sunset.
- And another.
- “Nana” Hannah and the foster puppy.
- The sunsets are always beautiful.
- A small Anole Green Lizard helps to keep the bugs out of our Pineapple plants.
- Our newest adopted kitten Leena with the foster puppy. The are good pals.
- There is a new sprout coming out from under the pineapple. We’re not sure what it will do.
- A new pineapple is starting. This makes three at the same time.
- The pineapple patch.
- While Cynthia was on the mainland I went on a ride with some local clubs to raise money for an injured biker.
- The ride ended with a “Biker Rodeo”. All events were at very slow speeds to be safe. This was a slow race to see who could ride the slowest with their feet up.
- Try to stay on the board.
- This is the Push the Barrel event.
- Then we sat down for dinner and entertainment. The local kitty wanted in on the eats.
- This event was Eat the Weenie and was way harder than it looked.
- As the month came to an end there were two fires at the same time in the Lahaina district. Two homes were lost and the only road into Lahaina was shut down causing many to miss their flights. Here you can see the smoke rising from them.
Aloha for now, we look forward to hearing from you.
